DESIGN IT! Contest at Digital Arts Cafe

DigitalArts Cafe DESIGN IT! Official Rules

Eligibility:
Everyone is eligible to enter this contest, including DigitalArts Café team members, as long as you do not currently sell digital scrapbook products at any site.

The weekly contest:
Each week the contest participants will receive instructions as to what they will be creating for that leg of the contest. The participants will have from Monday until Friday to create a kit according to the specific guidelines. The contestants will upload their finished kit entry, in zip form, to a file sharing site of their choice by Friday, they will then post the link and a preview of their kit in the weekly DESIGN IT! forum thread.
On Saturday the poll will open for DAC forum members to submit one vote for the kit they like the best. The voting will take place for four days, the poll will be closed on Tuesday for that weeks challenge.
The contest will run from September 1st through October 8th.

Specific rules for kit creations:
Each kit must be a new, never before seen creation made solely by the participant.
Commercial use product TOU must be adhered to.
TOU must be included in kit.
Preview size will only be 450x450 72dpi.
Preview must include contestants name, name of kit, and DigitalArts Café DESIGN IT! written on it.
Files included in the kit must be named as follows – Contestantsname_Nameofkit_Nameofelement_numberofelement
Please, no spaces, and use underscore to separate.

General Instructions:
Contestants must register in the DigitalArts Café forum.
Only forum members will be allowed access to downloads, and to the voting process.
Contestants must complete each weekly event to qualify for the prizes.
The contestant with the most overall votes at the end of the contest will be declared the winner.
Contestants may blog about their entry, but may not offer their entry for download on any other site except DigitalArts Café during the contest.
Contestants are allowed to vote once just as every other forum member is.
A few contestant specific rules will be emailed to each participant before the contest begins.

Prizes:
1st place – Guest design spot in the DigitalArts Café Boutique for 3 months, with the opportunity to be offered a permanent position as a designer in the Boutique. Six commercial use items from the Boutique.

2nd place – Four commercial use products from the Boutique. The possibility of uploading one monthly freebie to the Boutique’s freebies category for 3 months, providing there is an agreement with the store management at the end of the challenge on all 3 freebies, store management is free to choose which freebie from those kits made during the challenge. This can be great promotion opportunity.

3rd place – Four commercial use products from the Boutique. The possibility of uploading one freebie to the Boutique’s freebies category in October, providing there is an agreement with the store management at the end of the challenge on this freebie, store management is free to choose which freebie from those kits made during the challenge. This can be a great promotion opportunity.

Important:
We at DigitalArts Café fully intend to make this contest a fun, and friendly competition. If at any time a participant becomes disrespectful, nasty, threatening, or in any way sabotages the contest, they will be eliminated immediately from the contest.
Not following the rules of the contest will be grounds for elimination.
